This seems high, yes. But given what the hippies who drag shitty ones out of fields pay for them only to ruin them with poor WVO conversions, this is a deal if it’s as nice as it looks. Plus, the manual is almost impossible to find. Grails ain’t cheap, playa.

Buy it, and play this in your vehicle, loudly, preferably through a residential district:

The headunit install looks like it was done pretty sloppily

I wouldn’t go that far, but maybe if you turned the boost up.

won’t even mention what kind of manual wagon I drive, it’s not worthy.

I drive one too, and also won’t mention it.

It’s not brown. But I’d rather have a blue wagon than a brown wagon.

Oh but it is, this is the rare special order color, Azure Beige.

It’s just dark brown with some blue in it. Azure Beige, the color is called.

I said that I’d rather have a blue car than a brown car.

I love how he describes the crappy roll up windows as “euro style”, as if that will make me feel better when I can’t roll them all up or down from where I sit.

This is an interesting find - probably worth 6K, but the willingness of the owner to let you take it to a mechanic for inspection is a good thing. Those cars are comfortable, nearly indestructible, and not bad to drive. I had a W124 and wished I’d had the wagon. I like it.

Yeah, but he’s not wrong. They’re much more common over there.

Yep. I had a 28oTE with a manual, probably should have kept it.

That 2.8 six wasn’t a diesel, but it was still nearly indestructible if you changed the oil on time.

They ensure that happens by leaking most of it out between services.

There’s a guy in sweden with a similar wagon that put the 4 valve head from the newer 3 liter on the overbuilt bottom end of this era and upgraded to a truck turbo and a higher pressure fuel pump. He runs it in drift competitions. There was a video on FP a while back.
